Step 1
Send me a message using the enquiry form below with details all about your pet, their name, breed, age and anything else about them that you'd like to share with me.
Have a browse of my portrait examples and let me know if you have a preferred style, sometimes this will be determined by how clear the photographs are. Please refer to the price guide and T&Cs below.
Step 2
We'll chat via email about your requirements, sometimes a telephone call is best - here we will discuss timescales, go through reference photographs and agree on the style and size.
Send your favourite, best quality photos. Some styles will be subject to having high quality, clear reference photos when a detailed and strong likeness is desired as they will show up all those unique features such as colour, markings, fur, eyes and expression, but don't worry as I'll help you choose.
Once you are ready to proceed, I'll suggest a start and completion date based and ask for a 50% non refundable deposit to secure your slot.
As soon as your payment is received you are booked in and dates confirmed.
Step 3
I start work on your portrait and will show you an initial sketch of the composition based on discussions already taken place and agreed to.
Your portrait will go through many hours of layers to achieve the final desired results and therefore once work has began alterations cannot be included.
Once your portrait is completed, I'll email photographs for you to review, the final instalment is now due before I post.
Step 4
You receive your portrait
Completed portraits are signed and supplied unmounted & sent either in a strong postal tube or sturdy flat packaging ready for you to have mounted and framed in a style of your choice. Portraits can be mounted on request for an additional cost, please enquire.
Keep in mind when deciding on size that your portrait will be considerably larger once you have it mounted and framed.
I currently post within the UK only using Royal Mail special delivery service, if you are local I can deliver!

The cost of your pet portrait depends on factors such as graphite or colour, loose style or detailed, size and the number of subjects - see below for prices based on popular sizes (other sizes available)
Portraits are created with a plain or subtle low-detail background, should you prefer a more detailed background just get in touch for a tailored quote. Rendering rich dark colours in a portrait will give an exquisite finish but can take a considerable amount of extra time, even an A4 size image can take up to 20 hours!

Photographs
Work can only commence on receipt of a suitable photo reference, any delay may subsequently cause a delay to the start date and completion date for your portrait.
Timing
I allow myself 2 weeks to paint your portrait from pre-agreed start of work date - please let me know if you need your painting sooner or for a particular occasion at the earliest opportunity - I'll always do my best.
Delivery
I offer FREE P&P for all portraits using Royal Mail special delivery, this service is included in the price for commissioned pieces only.

Copyright remains with me, the artist. I may share the image on my social media pages, website or use for licensing and other channels. Please do get in touch if you would like prints or cards made of your painting.
